John Lumbantobing is a Partner at Rifdaan Novarazka & Prabowo, specializing in commercial litigation and arbitration. He has represented multinational companies and major Indonesian corporations in court and arbitral proceedings involving sectors such as mining, oil and gas, environmental issues, and shareholders disputes. John has advised and represented clients in arbitrations under SIAC and UNCITRAL Rules, as well as handled enforcement and annulment proceedings in Indonesian courts. Additionally, he acts as an expert witness on Indonesian arbitration law in arbitral proceedings under SIAC and BANI rules. Prior to joining Rifdaan Novarazka & Prabowo, he worked at a top-tier boutique law firm in Jakarta.

John Lumbantobing earned his Bachelor of Law (LLB) from Universitas Katolik Parahyangan, graduating as the class valedictorian. He further obtained a Master of Law (LLM) from the University of Cambridge, Hughes Hall College.
